Discover the Kia Carens Clavis EV Now Available at Dealerships Across India

There are three different models of the Kia Carens Clavis EV, and official reservations for them have already started.

The Korean automaker’s most reasonably priced electric vehicle in India, the Kia Carens Clavis EV, has begun to show up at showrooms all around the nation. With starting prices ranging from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), it is available in three main variants: HTK Plus, HTX, and HTX Plus. Here is a thorough look at all that this top-spec trim has to offer, based on photos of the fully-loaded HTX Plus variation that we acquired from our dealership sources.

Exterior

Many design cues from the May 2025 launch of the fossil fuel-powered Kia Carens Clavis EV are carried over into the 2025 model year. It adds EV-specific features that make it stand out while keeping the closed-off grille and triangle LED headlamps. These include a charging outlet built into the blanked-off grille, a full-width LED light bar connecting the LED DRLs, and active air flaps on the bumper that enhance aerodynamics and aid in cooling the electrical components, akin to those found on the Hyundai Creta Electric. Additionally, it has fog lamps in the shape of pixels, which are not available on the ICE version.

With roof rails and black cladding on the wheel arches that run the length of the vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV maintains its tough exterior. Additionally, it receives a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels with an aerodynamic design that differs from the ICE model’s. The EV version adds a new high-mounted stop lamp for a cleaner, more contemporary look, while the connected LED tail lamps remain at the back.

Interior

The interior configuration of the Carens Clavis EV is mostly similar to that of the ICE-powered model, including the twin-screen arrangement, two-spoke steering wheel, and dashboard design. The EV feels lighter and more upscale thanks to its dual-tone white and grey interior, which is typically reserved for the ICE model’s lower-end models.

The Clavis EV is only offered as a seven-seater, in contrast to the ICE variant, which is offered in both six- and seven-seater versions. Every seat has leatherette upholstery, three-point seatbelts, and adjustable headrests.

Features And Safety

The Kia Carens Clavis EV’s HTX Plus trim, which is the top-spec model, is loaded with features. Highlights include a comparable-sized digital driver’s display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connected Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both of these screens, nevertheless, have EV-specific displays. Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and an automated air conditioner with special vents for passengers in the backseat.

A 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, a tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assistance, hill descent control, an electronic stability control (ESC), six airbags (as standard), and front and rear parking sensors are among its safety features. Additionally, it is equipped with a Level-2 suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which includes functions like safe exit warning and collision avoidance aid.

It directly competes with the BYD eMax 7 and offers an all-electric substitute for the Maruti Invicto, Toyota Innova Hycross, and Toyota Innova Crysta. It can also be viewed as a substitute for the Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Creta Electric.
